Edward L. Myers, Inc. was started in the 1940’s by Lester S. Myers in Findlay, Ohio. The company began with painting houses and operated a retail paint store. Lester was joined by his son Edward L. Myers. They began doing commercial painting as Myers Painting in 1949. The first commercial project for the company was the Presbyterian Church in Findlay, Ohio.
In 1962, Edward began installing Torginal epoxy flooring after seeing it done at the World’s Fair in New York. In 1964, the company incorporated and became Edward L. Myers, Inc.
In 1974, sons Lester W. Myers and Jonathan E. Myers became partners in the business with their father.
In 1984, Edward L. Myers retired from the company.
In 1995, Lester W. Myers left the company, and Jonathan became the sole owner.
In 2018, Jonathan’s son Matthew S. Myers became a partner in the business.
